here we go again

Oh Santa....how ever deliciously good you were to me yet again, however deserving I may or may not be. The biggest surprise was Time Magazine's Gadget of the Year, an iPhone. I was ecstatic. Though it's pretty bittersweet since I can't activate it until Friday when my contract with Sprint is up. Ugh. So I stare at my pretty slender brick sitting on the desk ever so elegantly, ripe for the awakening early Friday morning! Other than that, I got an espresso maker, and clothes. You can obviously tell what I'm happy about most!

My break at home was short-lived. I was home for approximately 5 days before I was whisked away to where I am currently, Cedar Rapids, IA. I am slated to star in two productions with them again. First is in the chorus of Mozart's Magic Flute, and the second is in an outreach program as Harry in The Night Harry Stopped Smoking. It's my first title role, how exciting!

Rehearsals started last with a 2 hour chorus rehearsal. We're suppose to be memorized from day one, but with all my other crazyness going on, that didn't happened. I knew the music, but came close to being memorized over the course of the rehearsal. I am much more prepared for the second role as Harry. That rehearsal started this morning at 9. About 3/4 of the dialog and music are memorized, so I feel better about that show.

This afternoon consisted of going to lunch with two other cast members, and attempting to get some wireless at Panera. I walked in and the place was SOO packed that there was not even a place to sit down. So I packed up again and headed over to the local (read Mars-ish) coffee shop called Brewed Awakenings.

Place of the Post-Cedar Rapids: Masonic Temple. It's where we're holding rehearsals for both shows. It's kinda ironic that the Magic Flute is based a lot o Masonic principles, etc. At least that's what I'm told. Anyway, all very new and unfamiliar to me, but I enjoy it....minus the moldy smell.
