the storm is over

Well, I did manage to survive it all, despite my thoughts otherwise. The opera went really well, considering we hadn't run it completely through with orchestra until we opened Friday night. It was really great to see one of my high school choral directors there. It meant so much to me to have him there seeing me, almost 3 years after I graduated high school.

In other news, it's the week of DRAKE RELAYS!!! Basically a week full of events and activities leading up to America's premier Track and Field event! I would highly encourage anyone who has the time and in Des Moines to stop by Drake-land and take in the sights or make it downtown for the celebrations there.

I'm going to keep this one short because it's SO nice out today and I would like to fit in a run before I run errands. I'll post more frequently during Relays, I promise. That also means more pictures.

Place of the Post: Court Ave. Downtown Celebration. It's essentially a big party downtown for Drake Relays starting Friday at 7. Busing from campus is provided. I've never been, but I plan to be in attendance this year.
