So it’s officially spring break. I can’t even fathom that really. It’s been nice to have little to do. Wait, I’m borderline work-a-holic, of course I’m still busy. I worked Thursday and Friday night. Then went out Friday and Saturday nights for St. Patty’s day celebrations. Then Sunday, I did in fact sit around and do nothing. Well, laundry and random cleaning of my apartment.
Monday was a nice drive back to Bellevue for a few days. My friend Lynell joined me since she is flying out of Omaha uber-early on Wednesday to see her friend in Tuscon. We just meandered in Bellevue for a while, then went to my brother’s apartment at UNO Monday night. Tuesday (today), we slept in until almost 1, then went to the gym, and are now blissfully enjoying a slow afternoon of laziness in sweat pants. It really doesn’t help that it is super-crappy outside right now. BOO. It rained this afternoon off and on, and is cloudy. I saw on the news, though, that it is suppose to be 70 and sunny until tomorrow night.
I think tomorrow will entail some hoarding of groceries to take back to Des Moines with me (thank you military tax-free Commissary), then some shopping at Oakview, Westroads, and Village Point. I might even make it to Shadow Lake, Sarpy County’s new giga-outdoor mall, i.e. Jordan Creek on steroids. I’m not sure if that’s even possible, but I’ve seen the sketches online, and the building progress from Hwy 370, and it’s going to be big.
Work to be done this week: memorize the rest of the opera, and learn studio music. Great….my favorite things on Earth. Not that I don’t like opera and voice, but I’m terrible at memorizing, so it makes it that much more difficult. Blah.
Place of the Post (Bellevue edition): Shadow Lake Town Center. It’s on Hwy 370 just on the outskirts of Bellevue and Papillion, but it’s going to be just as big or bigger than Jordan Creek Town Center. Yay suburban sprawl!!!!
P.S. I think this is amusing, but a show choir this year did a song from the musical Reefer Madness called “Five and Dime” and it’s actually really good. It’s a 50’s swing number, with some good dancing in it. Watch the original here:

Hey look, it's my tour guide! It's kind of crazy that you're the first blog I clicked on while I was browsing through this...
Weird. I just got your postcard in the mail today. The tour was cool, and helpful. Thanks a ton!
