Well faithful readers, school has officially started again and as usual, everything seems to hit the fan fast. I'm really enjoying three of my classes: Secondary Choral Methods, Show Choir and Jazz Choir Methods, and Dance IV. Theory and Ed 164 are alright. Theory is boring by nature, and Ed 164 is at least engaging for the fact that dealing with race and gender are issues that are out of the norm for me, so it's probably good that I become familiar with them.

I did manage to fit in some TV time this week. Has anyone seen Dirt on FX? I don't know what those people are smoking over there at FX, but they come up with some of the best drama I've seen on TV in a long time. Nip/Tuck is one of my favorites in a long time, and now Dirt. It's so compelling and well-written. It makes my life look like that of an Amish bag-lady. That's all I really caught on TV. Wait.....scratch that. I saw Gay, Straight, or Taken on Lifetime. What a weird show. I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. I could only watch it for about 15 minutes before feeling completely awkward. Everyone on the show seemed so uncomfortable.

I am super excited for Johnston Show Choir Invitational this weekend. My group, Valley's Choralation, will be competiting. They have rehearsal tonight, tomorrow night, and then Saturday is the competition. I think they are in a spectactular spot to go into the competition season. Come support them Saturday afternoon if you're around!

Place of the Post is: Gray's Lake. Just south of Ingersoll, Gray's lake is great for running and hiking. The last time I was out there to walk with Allie, it was super-windy, but during the summer they also have paddle boats and canoes to rent. I did it once this summer with Josh and Lynell. I highly recommend!
