Well well well, today is my last day of freedom before school starts again tomorrow. Though I am kinda excited to start school again. Though I only got 3 weeks off (compared to 4 weeks last year), I've been back to Des Moines for 2 weeks, so I've had enough time to cozy up to the idea. This semester is going to be crazy for me schedule-wise. I am not taking that many credit hours, but being an assistant director at Valley with show choir is going to eat up a ton of my weekends, and then right after that, starts major rehearsals for the opera. I keep hoping it will pay off one of these days. I'm sure it will, this amount of work deserves a payoff, right?! (Don't smash my bubble.) :-P
This weekend was like a work-a-holic's dream. I worked at Banana Republic from 12-6 and then 6-close at Crave on Friday. It was alright, though I slept in until noon on Saturday. Then I had to give a tour to football recuits in the freezing cold weather. And all the buildings weren't even open, so that was a bit futile and frustrating. Anyway, then I zipped off to the gym and then to work at 6. I got off around 11, and went to Lynell's to watch TV until around 2. I was exhausted. Sunday was not too much better either, I saw Dreamgirls again with Allie and Lynell, and then went to Joel's for PS3 and some Chinese food. I hadn't had China Place in about 5 weeks, so it was very tasty, and VERY filling. I haven't eaten at all today yet.
Anyway, this Place of the Post is: Principal Ice Rink! Just recently finished for Winter '06, it's like Des Moines's version of Rockefeller Plaza ice rink. I've never been, but I hear it's fun, and now that we have snow, I'm sure it would make the perfect date spot for that special someone!
