Cloudy with a chance of meatballs.

German classes and voice lessons have been going well the last few days. It was SUPER rainy yesterday, which pretty much started my day off to a bad start. I was suppose to practice early, but didn’t make it in time to do so. Oops. My lessons are going well, but it takes a little bit adjusting to a new teacher. I’d definitely found the good and bad here in terms of singing, as I’m convinced you find almost everywhere. I thought to myself during a masterclass yesterday, “I didn’t know women could still sound like hairdryers into the 20’s.” But so is life...

The rest of yesterday drugged on...I almost fell asleep during German class because I was so tired, and took a nap after lunch, before masterclass. Yesterday’s masterclass was on dramatic presentation, and I guess the guy who was presenting wore eye-liner according to those who were up close. He also gave a really awkward speech at the end about believing in yourself, and how everything you say to your children affects them. Weird.

Margaret, Liz, Eric, and I went to Euro Park in the evening. It was just a modern European mall. I think my quote was, “All I’ve seen in Salzburg is 16th century everything, this is kinda nice.” And it was, though pretty busy for a weekday afternoon. We got home around 7:30 and bagged out all night. I was suppose to study for my German test this morning, but was just too tired to make it happen. I’m only auditing the class, so I’m not too worried about the grade to tell you the truth.

Today is nice so far because I don’t have as much to do. I woke up at 8, but went to bed at 11, so I’m well-rested today. I have a German exam/class at 11:30, lunch at 1, and opera audition at 2:35. I’m free after that! A group of us wants to go do something in the city and have dinner together afterwards. Tomorrow: audition at 12:50, then fun afternoon! (yet to be determined)

Place of the Post: St. Mark’s. It’s the church right across from the college. We have coachings and concerts there. It’s uber-old, and used to have a school for girls next to it, which is now a museum.

Phrase of the Post: danke. means “thank you.”
