Day 6 - NYC

Our last day in NYC was rainy. BOO. We took the subway to Park Avenue in Midtown and walked around for a while. We then made it to the holy grail, Apple Store 5th Avenue. It was sweet. Pictures are included.

5th Avenue. I felt so much like Charlotte York:

Me outside in the pouring rain!

The elevator and spiral staircase:

I was amazed at how busy it was for being a Tuesday at 1pm. Yuck. Karen decided she wanted some alone time in Central Park, so we let her do that while Mireille and I explored. We met up afterwards for some NY deli action and proceeded on to more museums.

Mireille and I just wanted a peek at Central Park:

A shot of me just hangin' out:

We had to hussle back to the Theatre District so we could get rush tickets to Xanadu that night, and got on-stage tickets for $26!!!! Amazing. We ate dinner at some weird BBQ place off of Broadway before the theatre opened at 7:30.

Karen was creepily feeding Mireille:

The show was pretty good too. Karen and I got to sit on stage for the show with the actors, and it was an awesome experience. And for $26 too!

Mireille and Karen after the show:

One last shot :-(:

The rest of the evening was walking around Times Square and seeing shops and such, then the 20 minute ride back to our ghetto-chateau in Brooklyn.

Overall, my trip to NYC couldn't have been better. We had time to relax and not over schedule ourselves, but still saw quite a bit in the six days we were there. And to be able to spend a vacation with my two best friends couldn't have been better either.
