The last show of my time here in Cedar Rapids is upon me. My car is packed and ready to go after the show is over. I have many things to do in Des Moines once I get back, and I get to see my dearest Kristen tonight. Last night went out with a bang though.
I had the final performance of Harry at 11 in Iowa City. Then I ate lunch with my parents at Panera and headed over to the Voxman Music Building at University of Iowa for an audition and rehearsal with my accompanist. Both went swimmingly, except that Phil and I went to lunch and got REALLY lost in Iowa City...I think we almost made it to Kirkwood before we were un-lost. Anyway, I drove back up to the CR, ran errands, and went to dinner at the show's director's homestay (if that makes sense).
Tim and Katie were amazing. Their house, they themselves, the food, the wine. It was an awesome!! Then we went out afterwards. It was a great ending to my stay here. Today, I packed, loaded up the car, and said goodbye to my host family. They must have liked me because they offered me their house during my summer stay, even though they'll be at their summer cottage. I got them a giftcard to Granite City and some dogtoys for their golden retriever, Chloe. I loved staying at their house!!
I don't have the time now, but pics will be in the next post (later tonight I hope).
