goodness me

Officially in panic mode. Things have been crazy around the 'ol Drake-land for me. Just a lot of stuff to do this week. I had a midterm today (YAY! It went well!), paper Wednesday, and a paper and project due Thursday. Boo. This weekend was not fun (literally), and all work. All work and no play makes Eric a dull boy. And it did. I had SigEp activities Friday night, then bed early. Saturday was gym, Senior tailgate, and homework all afternoon. But at least I got to go to Ames for the evening and hangout with a friend there. And I got to eat at tasty Hickory Park. YUM. Sunday was all meetings and homework again. Boo. Again.

Let's talk about the Senior Tailgate a bit. It is part of the Senior Experience. We had a combined alumni/senior BBQ. But the weird thing was that it all naturally segregated. Seniors on one end. Alumni on the other. I dunno, they should have intermixed us. But the food was amazing. Sodexho won me over for once.

Weddings Weddings Weddings. This is the season for weddings. I have one this weekend in Omaha of a family friend. And next weekend is Drake's own local celebrity, Katie 'Rae' Carlston. I'll be there there will bells on.

Place of the Post: Hickory Park (in Ames). Delicious BBQ. 'nuff said. I'm not sure if it's the best I've had, but probably the best I've had in Des Moines metro so far. The only downfall is that their newest facility is like a factory of restaurant-business bliss. It's HUGE. And there were still hoards of people waiting to get in. It was a good thing I ordered out.
