Now that Iowa Private College Week isn't consuming my entire existence, I have time to blog again! Now I do preface my post with this: if you either saw me, and read this blog, you are obligated to comment. (It's my way of feeling special!) It was a great experience, especially to have the ABC News Debate set for us to use. It made me feel very.......presidential. and patriotic. That consumed all week, and then I worked Friday and Saturday at Crave. That was delightful. I made a decent amount of money, and though I had to close Friday, I was still out by 11! That was impressive. Though I didn't really do anything. I sat around like an old betty. Sunday, I cleaned and sat around. Today, though, was quite impressive.
I managed to make it out of bed by 10, and to the gym by 11. I exercised on Saturday afternoon, and it felt SO good after working all week. I was incredibly sore the next two days, but it was a good pain. (I'm not a masochist, i swear!) Anyway, so I came home, and found out I might have a gig choreographing possibly 3 show choirs for the rival high school in Bellevue. I'm really excited, though it will be a ton of work. Then off to the mall.
Nothing seemed to catching my eye. Then I walked into my former employer, Banana Republic, and they had suits on sale! Now, when I worked there, I was able to buy a suit there on huge discount, and it fit me to a T. No altering. nothing. And so I tried on another suit on sale there and I had to have it. Well, it was on sale for $200, and I had a $100 gift card that I got on discount before I left the company, so I walked out with a $100 Banana Republic suit. score. It pretty much made my day.
When I got home, as I was about to call Kelli, Kelli called me! She was in Iowa City all weekend, so we had to catchup over a delicious dinner of El Aguila. And pool time had to happen after that. Unfortunately, mexican food and a pool don't always mix. I definitely felt fat. :-/
Jarrett is going to move back into the apt, and he came to get keys from me, and the keys didn't work! So sad. So I had to come back to the apt to give them to him. And now, as I write, I am watching Children of Men. It looks like it will be worth my $4.27. It had better be. lol
