SOOOooo....I'm almost done! The performances have been going spectacular! We opened Friday night and the review today in the paper read, "Brucemore takes audience 'Into the Woods' for blend of zip, mayhem by opera theater" SWEET! We have another performance today, then a week off until Friday when we do the show again in Iowa City at the Englert Theatre. This week, the Young Artists have 2 Masterclasses on Monday, then singing the National Anthem at the Kernels game in CR. I'm going back to DSM for the 4th on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday is a dress rehearsal, and then Friday is our last performance and I'm back to work on Saturday at Crave. I'll be sad to see some of the good friends I've made here go, but I'm excited to re-gain the structure system I have in Des Moines. OH, and my fantastic new Macbook Pro. If you aren't salivating yet, this is your cue. It ships on Monday, and should be here next Friday or Saturday.
Place of the Post- Brucemore Mansion. It's a National Historic Trust Site. I'm not sure exactly sure what that means, but it's old, and fancy. We perform on the stage on one of the lawns for "Into the Woods." Come see it!
