So it's finally over......the school year is done. I only had two finals today, Tuesday, at 9:30 and 2. Theory was alright. There were no surprises, though I feel like I didn't do super well. I will never be great at theory. It's just one of those things for me. Afterwards, Christina and I went to Applebee's for lunch and saw one of my professor's daugher having lunch with her boyfriend and friend. We went back to my apt in a futile effort to study for Ed 164. It's not hard, but our apathy had risen to a cricial momentum. So it was mostly us listening to music and me dancing around the apartment in some weird natural high over the fact that I was done with the theory final. We reluctantly went and took the final, which only took 15 minutes. VERY NICE!! (in Borat voice).
Though it seems now that I still have a myraid of things to finish: Secondary Choral Methods final project (due tomorrow), Show Choir Methods final project (due tomorrow), meetings for both of those projects with my professor, work in Admissions tomorrow and Thursday, work at Crave Thur/Fri/Sat. That's just this week! :-P I also have to learn all this new music for Cedar Rapids, choreograph the dance camp for Valley's show choir, sit in on auditions for show choir, Crave slaving, and pack up my apartment and move it into a storage unit while I'm in CR.
I have some pretty good pictures to share from Relays and my random mobile phone pictures, but unfortunately, the internet in my apartment went out, so now I'm in the computer lab in FAC getting some stuff done. When I get home, I'll put up a ton of them...I promise!!
I was thinking today about ALL the things I've done this year:
34 credit hours
Associate at Banana Republic
Grill/Fondu server at Crave - Bar, Grill, & Fondue
Asst. Director-ish with Choralation at Valley High School
Student Ambassador
Junior Recital in November
NATS auditions
Marcel in "The Boyfriend" with Drake Theatre
Combined Christmas Concert in PAH
3 seperate summer program auditions in February
Show Choir season (3 competitions, 1 out-of-state, 1 snowed out) for Valley
Masterclass performance with Katharine Goeldner of the Metropolitan Opera
Dr. Falke in "Die Fledermaus" w/ Drake Opera Theatre
survived Finals*
*everyone did that, I just feel special because I made it through like everyone else....:-P
I'm sure I'm missing something big or a few small things, but I am at a loss to what they are right now.
Alright, that's it for now....it took a lot out of me after studying for finals to type that.
Place of the Post: Gateway Market on MLK Parkway and Woodland Ave......amazing food for a good price. I had chicken ramen and that is no college boiling experience. $8 with a drink. My friend had a chicken sandwich and fries for $8 too. Do it.
