songs for a new world

Alright, so I have arrived in CR safe and sound. I left Tuesday morning and arrived in the afternoon. I met one of my roommates, Andrew, and waited for Joan to get home from lunch. She took us both out to the cabin we'd be staying in. It's literally in BFE, IA. In fact, when my roommates and I were going to rehearsal, we had to herd cows out of the way to get out of our cabin. Yea, it's that bad. But on the flip-side, the cabin is REALLY pretty. It has this huge living room, and 3 bedrooms. It is right on the river, and there is a 3-sided porch.

I was really nervous for rehearsal, but I found everyone to be extremely helpful and low key. We had a 2.5 hour rehearsal, and afterwards our roommates and I made an adventure to Hy-Vee to get food for the cabin. I found myself saying "I don't really care." After almost $180, we left with lots of tasty food and drinks for the cabin.

Of course to celebrate our new cabin, we had to throw a get together. Unfortunately, because of our locale, it ended up just being Jenna, Steve (my roommate), Steve's girlfriend Channing, Andy (my other roommate), and myself. This morning, Jenna and I ventured into town, getting lost, and taking almost an hour to find Jenna's homestay. We got directions to go to Target, and fueled up on some supplies. The rest of the afternoon was studying music, catching up on our internet studies, and having dinner. Another rehearsal tonight I fear, though afterwards, I'll probably go home, chill, and crash early. Last night was enough for me.

Place of the Post-Cedar Rapids edition: Riley's cabin........enough said. Come visit and you will find out.
