the final countdown

So it's 27 hours until my first rehearsal for CR, and I'm close to having a panic attack. I guess the thing that scares me is the unknowns: I don't know my roommates, I don't know how the program will be like, I don't know the other people at the program, etc etc.

Saturday, work was bland, at best. At least I had Laura there to entertain me. She makes work at least bearable for the evening. Afterwards, I was going to go out, but got home, and decided my bed was more comfortable than anything I could have been doing at the same moment.

Delicious fondue:

Sunday seemed to keep me busy enough. I woke up around 11, then Linda called me and wanted to have lunch. So I was forced to shower myself, and then we purchased Panera and went to Crossroads Park in the WDM. We ate, walked around, and played around on the swings. It wasn't all that entertaining, though we did talk about some pretty in-depth topics, mostly regarding how we all feel like we're old and can't believe we're seniors in college already. I had to make it back to work, and Linda was off to her internship in Chicago.

This fine Monday Memorial Day morning, Alecia and Jenna (my new roommates) and I sat around, eventually deciding that we wanted El Aguila for lunch. That was amazing, cheap Mexican food as usual. The rest of the afternoon has been spent trying to pack for Cedar Rapids and clean/do laundry.

More random picture time:

Heather, Chelsea, and Eleanor having a good time with the camera. I believe my caption facebook read, "Shh! The secrets of Moulin Rogue must never be revealed!" I thought it was a good one. And the doctoring of the photo makes it look that much more authentic. Thanks iPhoto.

I'm only putting this picture in because it is the only recent one I have of Leanne and I. I pretty much look ridiculous. Good thing I don't dress like that everyday.

Kristin and I pretty much look like we were meant together. At least in the opera. I told her she also looked like Christina Ricci.

Joel hosted a BBQ over Relays. It was tasty.

Place of the Post: Begger's Banquet. Downtown by Gateway Park. There used to be one near Drake, but they closed. A little pricey, but really good food and soup.
