Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me

Haha, ok....so my title is the song that was on when I wrote this....sue me. I couldn't come up with anything more clever. My brain is pretty much trash right now. I went to IHOP today with Linda and some other folks to get a free short stack of pancakes. It's International Pancake Day? I dunno, either way, we got some sweet free food. College kids are ALL about that.

I also found out that I have a groupie on my blog. One of the parents of a perspectives student that came for the Music Audition Days told me that they read my blog on a regular basis. MY FIRST GROUPIE! I'm so honored. And they're from Nebraska too! Even more amazing...

Last weekend was just one long week actually. Saturday was Music Audition Days, then work at Crave until 10, and then I passed out. Sunday was my audition for Bay View Music Festival which went much better than my one for Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre on Thursday. Then off to DUCC and dinner at Biaggi's, which was fantastic...I managed in an hour to watch The Amazing Race, and I didn't find much amazing about it. Avoid.

This week so far has not be kind to me. Monday, I gave 2 huge groups of tours in Admissions because it was Presidents Day, then practiced for two hours and then dinner at Cheesecake Factory for Heather's birthday. It was very good to see a lot of people who I don't always hangout with. Today was class ALL day until 3, then observing at Waukee for Jazz (pronounced "yazz") Choir. Then more DUCC tonight. Blah.

Tomorrow I have a coaching with a Drake Alum and opera director in Boston. That should be fun, except it costs $40/hour. Yikes....I'd better see some benefit from this soon....lol. J/k Leanne says it's good, so I'm sure it will be.

Well, enough of my rambling for now, I'm sure you've heard enough about my life for now....

Place of the Post: Crush. It's a Dance club in West Des Moines. I've yet to go yet, but all my friends who have been there say they really like it. I want to make it there soon. From what I can tell, it's pretty posh. We'll see.
