Well, we stayed up late our first night in NYC being crazies, so we decided......ok, ended up happening that we slept in until 11am the next morning. We showered and headed to midtown to eat at a place Karen found called, "Say Cheese!" in Midtown. It was a bit of a trek off the subway station, but worth it. If you ever get a chance to go to NYC, eat there! After we were slightly less soaked from the rain, we trekked around Midtown a bit and made our way to MoMA (Museum of Modern Art). And we did it true student style and went on Friday when they had free entrance passes from 4-9pm.

MoMA was a nice adventure. I have pictures detailing some of the cool things we saw there. Afterwards, we went across the street to the store where they have modern design items for sale; everyday stuff like silverware, and tea kettles. None of us found stuff, but we headed back to the hotel for a quick cat nap and drying off before dinner and out again.

Another shot someone took of all 3 of us in the "yellow" room:
After the three of us had showered, we needed to get something to eat quickly before heading uptown further to meet Mireille's friend Andrea who she had gone to school in Colorado with. The only thing close and available at 9pm was Subway (I know, we're in NYC), but $5 footlongs are a bargain in the big city!
Another shot of midtown looking dreary:
Outside Radio City Music Hall!!
Up the subway (the real one, not the sandwich) to 145th and Broadway, and we met up with Andrea, her boyfriend Alexis, and his roommate Steve. We decided to go to midtown to a place called Dunhill? I'm not sure what it was called, but I was told later. It was kinda a punk rock bar. The band performing was really good!! The drinks were expensive, but we had a good time. We stopped by for some NYC pizza afterwards, and then took a cab back to the hostel. Another good day in the city that never sleeps!

Place of the Post: MoMA. So many cool things, and not all those stuffy old people artists either. ALL NEW!
