I peace'd out at 2 to do laundry, clean, pack, and head out. Amazingly enough, I managed to leave the apt by 4. That was even behind my own expected departure, which is almost always pretty conservative. The hard part was making it the first 40 miles out of des moines. scary. First of all, the interstates were packed. Second, everyone was driving like they were going to win the Indy 500. jesus. And there were car dotting the median and skirts of the interstate everywhere. Thankfully my trusty 'ol Jetta made it through. Like I said, the first 40 miles were the worst, then it was fine. I felt like a million bucks though: heated seats, iPod full of music, a large coffee from Mars. If I had fallen into a ditch, I probably would have just sat there until someone came and got me. lol (like a clam in mud I tell ya!)
Being home was old hat. Wed night I went to see my brother play at a bar called Rumors in his band, Shaky Ground. My parents, aunt & uncle, and cousin were there. Country music in a relatively sketchy bar was just not my thing. But I guess I was there to support. Thursday was a "I was suppose to get up and help, but couldn't bring myself out of bed until 11am" deal. Oh well. I'm in college, what do you expect?! Went to my aunts at 1, gorged myself, napped, then played cards with my parents, and then off to hangout with friends from high school.
Out too late. <---the story of my life. It didn't help that I got up at 5am and was at Target by 5:30am to wait in line for a freakin' external hard drive. I wasn't even going to get like a huge plasma TV or anything, just an $87, 500gb hard drive. Though that's a freakin' fantastic price might I add. (And no rebates to send in). Came home for a 1.5 nap, then off to the mall with Karen. Nothing really I wanted or cared for. Got a few presents, but that was it.
Can anyone believe Omaha has an Urban Outfitters now?! I was floored. It's in this new fancy part of downtown just north, between central downtown and the Qwest Center. It's pretty swanky. I was impressed.
Place of the Post: The Cafe. Went there on Tuesday. Awesome food. Great atmosphere. Reasonable prices. AND, they change their menu every month according to Katie Rae. Polenta Fries = A+.

Seniors. I can't even believe it.
