"Here at ICDAAAAahh" So it's been my 3rd day here at the Iowa Choral Director's Association Summer Symposium at NIACC in Mason City, IA. It's been a great experience to network here with other professionals in my career field. I think that it's one of the best things that young choral music ed students could do for their career.
I'm here on scholarship, so I've done a lot of schlepping and such, but it's fun, and everyone is so appreciative of us being here to help. Tonight we have a concert and then mini-musicals at the Elks Lodge in Mason City. The "Baby-Gen" is going to kick some butt. for sure. Tomorrow, more sessions and such. I should be back to the DSM on Thursday evening, so I'll have regular internet access again! :-P Though I won't be there for long. I'm flying out Monday again to Denver to see Mireille!
Place of the Post-Mason City: The OP, or Other Place. It's a fun little bar all the people go to after the evening things are done to unwind and hangout. It's in downtown Mason City. Check it out if you're ever there.
