Break Blues

I've kinda delayed posting for a few days because my days have consisted usually of the following: getting up around 11, going to the gym, eating lunch, and going to the mall followed by a nap, dinner, and hanging out with friends from home. Yea, exactly that. I suppose I'll just recount some of the more interesting points:

Christmas day I went to see Dreamgirls with my mom and sister. It was really good. I didn't really like Beyonce. I thought her character was very flat and uninteresting. Jennifer Hudson thought, yikes, she was amazing.

There was some really annoying guys behind us making comments the whole movie, which kinda detracted from the movie. Reminds of the time when I went to see Rent last year, and these large-and-in-charge ladies were behind us making comments like, "Shoot, she ain't dead!" and "Dang, she sstrrrooongg." Except this time, it wasn't as amusing.

Day after Christmas, we went shopping at what I like to call the "Jordan Creek of Omaha" called Village Pointe. It's fancy, and I blew most of the gift cards I had acquired. Some exercise and friends ensued. Wednesday, I pretty much did what my routine required: exercise, lunch, mall w/ Karen, nap, dinner, hangout with Karen again. Thursday, I did errands ALL afternoon with my mom, and vegged all evening. And today, more errands all afternoon, including getting a new military ID and Drivers License since I turn 21 on Jan 24th!!!!! sweet.

By the way, everyone should checkout my professional website: ----->> http://www.ericjcarlson.com <<---- do it.

Place of the post to see in Omaha is: Village Pointe Town Center! It has a ton of fun shops, and is laid out like a village unto itself, but yuppie-style. Restaurants include: Paradise Cafe and Bakery, Tin Star, Cheeseburger in Paradise, Mimi's Cafe, and Flemings. All things, minus Flemings, we don't have in Des Moines. AND there is an Apple Store. What else more could you want?!

Until next time...
